Magelang city of a million flowers. There is a reason why this city calls like that. It because many places there has a lot of gardens full of flowers , many park with small size has placed in several part of city.

In Magelang there is traditional food calls Getuk , there are a famous Getuk in Magelang it calls Trio’s Getuk and Eco’s Getuk. Getuk is a food made by cassava.

Magelang is a city that has several recreation objects. For examples Kyai Langgeng park located in the city center , where we can watch the few animals as tigers , deer , parrots , and others. Many kinds of games for children. Fee entrance for Kyai Langgeng park is about fifteen thousand rupiah , it can be quite cheap.

The other recreation object is Borobudur Temple , which used to be one of the seven wonders of the world. Many people has been arguing that Borobudur is located in Yogyakarta region but the truth is it located in Magelang Region , precisely in the District of Magelang. Fee entrance to Borobudur is thirty-five thousand in this year. In Borobudur Temple beside the statue there is a museum and a market selling souvenirs.

Furthermore , in the district of Magelang also a recreation area called Ketep , the place to see Mount Merapi , the active volcano on Central Java. There are many people who rent out binoculars so you can see more clear. Fee entrance to Ketep is five thousand rupiah. On the roadside are also many who sell food such as corn and many more. In Ketep area there are Merapi’s museum in there we can see pictures of volcanoes during eruption.
